While critical response to Looking has been lukewarm -- from being lauded to being called downright sexless -- there's still nothing else quite like it on TV (sorry Modern Family). But three episodes in, is Looking finally starting to say anything new about gay people? Does watching an new episode delight, inspire or at least entertain, much the way Sex and the City did in its heyday?
In episode 3, Patrick continues his string of romantic missteps, this time managing to hit on his sorta hot new boss (a Brit no less!), who pulls off that "is he or isn't he?" vibe with sexy aplomb. And the prospect of a little sexual tension at the workplace seems promising enough, though seeing another booze-riddled, cring-worthy OKCupid date wouldn't be so bad, either.
